Have had the Traveling Tide Pool several times for both the preschool set and elementary kids. Great hands on program. We had 3 45 minute presentations in one day, with the kids having plenty of time to touch the animals in their mini-tanks. Wet, fun, educational and reasonably priced.

I tried to book them at our library but they required 50%payment 2weeks after the booking and full payment 2 weeks before the event. It is not our policy to pay the performer before the event so we had to cancel. I am very disappointed with their policy. You simply don’t pay for services until they are rendered. I have been a children’s librarian for 20 years and have never had a performer ask for payment ahead of time.

Although they do ask for money beforehand, we have just told them that we will pay them the day of the show, and done so without a problem. As long as it is explained to them, they've never had a problem with us doing it the "regular" way.

I asked them if I could pay them the day of the program and they absolutely refused. For this reason I will never use them in the future. Also when I originally "booked" them through email the person I booked it with dropped the ball and didn't put it on the calendar. It wasn't until I called back to confirm the date that I found this out along with their policy about paying ahead of time.
